Scope
The Organizing Committee cordially invites you to participate in the 6th International Congress on Operando Spectroscopy, to be held in Estepona (Málaga, Spain), from 15 to 19th of April, 2018. The main objective of this conference is to bring researchers together to discuss the progress of operando methodologies, i.e. characterization of catalytic materials in their working state. In operando studies, the behavior of working catalysts is probed using physico-chemical methods while simultaneously measuring the catalytic activity and product selectivity. The operando approach is an excellent one to elucidate catalyst structure-activity relationships at the molecular level. The importance of the approach is well recognized in both academia and industry, and the field has become well-established research area in catalysis.
This congress follows the prior conferences that have been celebrated in 2003 (Lunteren, The Netherlands), 2006 (Toledo, Spain), 2009 (Rostock, Germany), 2012 (Brookhaven National Laboratory, NY, USA), and 2015 (Caen, France). The scientific program will consist of several plenary lectures and oral and poster presentations covering operando studies about the synthesis and equilibration/activation of catalysts, their life (catalytic behavior under operation) and their dead (deactivation).
